Bill Kristol in WeeklyStandard.com defends Mrs Palin’s combining two words to form a useful new word. I remember when one of my daughters, I forget which one, told me that a mosquito bitched her on the arm. I knew exactly what she meant the moment it was out of her mouth.
Refudiate: a combination of refute and repudiate, combining the “intellectual act of refuting with the practical or political act of repudiating.” I doubt that Mrs Palin knew about this before inadvertently thumbing her Blackberry. This combination seems to fit well with the Tea Party’s mix of “arguers and activists” according to Kristol.
