Congrats to one of MSUBs most inspirational players.
Montana State University Billings softball player Shay Oberg has been nominated for an ESPY Award.
Oberg is nominated in the category of “Best female athlete with a disability.” The junior outfielder was born without a left hand.
Oberg graduated from Billings West in 2005 and played two seasons at Southwestern Oregon Community College, before playing this past season at MSUB. She batted .280 this season with three home runs and 13 RBIs.
The 2008 ESPY Awards will air on July 20 on ESPN.
